Your multi-passionate, creative, &
hot chocolate-loving gal.
Hey there, I’m Destiny!
My journey started just like so many solopreneur stories do. Back in 2020, I was sitting at my desk—overwhelmed with work, dealing with poor management, phones constantly ringing, and missing my lunch break yet… again. I was at my breaking point.
I felt like a robot trapped in a loop: wake up, go to work, come home, sleep, repeat it all the next day. I was unhappy, uninspired, and my creativity was fading. The corporate 9-to-5 cubicle with no windows just wasn't cutting it.
Betting on Myself: Letting Go of Fear and Self-Doubt
I craved independence. I loved helping people and was eager to learn new things. Organising, planning—oh, how I absolutely love planning, just typing this out is getting me excited!—managing projects, and creating content actually made me feel excited and happy. So, I knew I could do more and be more.
I had always dreamt of owning a business, but the second I thought about quitting my job, fear and self-doubt rushed in. Honestly, my first instinct was to tell myself, "No, I can't do this." But then a quiet voice inside me asked:
“Well... what do you actually have to lose?”
I mean, really—what did I have to lose? A job that I hated and drained me? A lifestyle that left me tired, uninspired, and hopeless? Sure, it was a good-paying job, but the only real risk was the fear of failure.
As they say, “Life doesn't always lead where you'd expect it to.”
So, I bet on myself and took the leap. I quit my job of 6 years as an Administrative Assistant, convinced myself that this “VA thing” could work—and I never looked back.
ENTER… Destiny May Virtual Solutions…
Since 2021, I’ve been an online entrepreneur. I’m able to bring all my experience and strengths together to support businesses I actually believe in. Those 6 years in admin gave me proper, real-world experience. I don't require hand-holding. I can jump into new systems fast, handle whatever comes my way, figure out a solution to whatever problem is stressing you out, and get on with the job.
As a fellow business owner, I know exactly how chaotic the behind-the-scenes workload can get, and it can honestly be a pain sometimes! That’s why I am here. I want you to experience the freedom to actually live your life and hit your goals without drowning in the daily faff.
After all, that’s why we went into business for ourselves, right?
I hold five core values at the centre of everything I do:
Core Values
Connection
I believe in building genuine connections grounded in trust and mutual respect. I collaborate with intention - supporting one another, sharing knowledge, and building strong client relationships. When your business hits a milestone, I’ll be the first one cheering you on!
Respect
I believe everyone deserves respect by default—it is the foundation of how I work, not something that has to be earned. I treat your time, your boundaries, and your business with the exact same level of care and consideration that I expect in return.
Communication
Let's be real— Clear communication is just as important as getting the work done. You’ll find regular updates are key. By keeping you completely in the loop, things get done calmly and properly, without you ever needing to micromanage.
Integrity
Integrity isn’t just about what you say—it’s about what you do. Trusting someone with your business is scary (after all, that’s your baby!), so I totally get it. That’s why I build trust through transparency, total honesty, and simply being someone you can rely on every single day.
Growth and Learning
I believe there’s always room for growth. By continuously investing in my skills and nurturing my creativity, I’m able to provide ongoing support to help you meet and exceed your goals.
GET TO KNOW ME
Still curious? Let’s get a little more personal...
Most days, you can find me:
Hanging out at home with my two beautiful (and entirely spoiled) fur babies… I know I’m a dog mum! #dogmumforlife
CUDDLING MY DOGS:
Listening to a 90s R&B and oldies playlist, bingeing TV shows, sneaking in a little video game time, or whipping something delicious up in the kitchen
HAVING A ‘ME TIME’ IN NIGHT:
Travelling to new places, exploring different cultures, and hunting down the best local food spots.
PLANNING MY NEXT TRIP:
Learning a random new skill, trying out a creative tool, or completing a new—well, trying to complete a new passion project just for the fun of it... Okay, scratch that last part, they’re all half-done. I mean, I start, get fixated, and then completely forget about them... Yeah, let’s move on.
DOWN A CREATIVE RABBIT HOLE:
STILL NOT SURE?
Whether you’re ready to book, still weighing it up, or not sure what you need at the moment, no worries, my inbox is always open, no pressure at all.
